John Turner

John has worked in the financial services industry all his working life. Commencing his career as a Lending Officer for a small Sydney – based credit union. John progressed through a variety of roles in the friendly society sector including business development manager, state manager and client services manager.

John commenced his current position of Business Development Manager for Sureplan Friendly Society in July 2020. Sureplan is a Queensland based friendly society that specialises in the management of funeral funds. The original fund, Sureplan Family Fund, is a funeral insurance plan with unique benefits and the second fund, Sureplan Gold, is a secure, conservatively managed funeral bond.

As Business Development manager, John’s principal objective is to increase the level of support for both Funds. John is very keen to continue and grow the already excellent support Sureplan Gold receives from the funeral director industry, and is currently developing a strategy to encourage wider support for Sureplan Family Fund.
